Relaxation massage uses more gliding techniques and its purpose is to increase blood and lymph circulation, relax surface muscle tension, and relieve stress. This is a nice lighter session if you're just looking for the general benefits of massage.
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue is a type of massage that uses firmer pressure to reach the deeper layer of muscles that can't be worked through relaxation massage. This type of massage is good for areas of tension where you may experience aches and pains.
Neuromuscular Therapy (Specialty Massage)
Neuromuscular Therapy is a specific type of massage which includes Trigger Point Therapy and Muscle Energy Techniques. It is a firmer massage, just like deep tissue, but is specific for injuries, pain management and other types of musculoskeletal disorders.
Myofascial Release (Specialty Massage)
Myofascial Release is used to assist in the correction of postural dysfunction and relieve fascial buildup. This is a very specific type of massage that is done without lotion and requires a treatment plan for time-specific movements and holds.
